Alleged Robber Shot By Off-Duty Policeman
An alleged robber, was shot by an off-duty policeman at North Parade in downtown Kingston on Friday.
Reports are that at about 2:50 pm,
the policeman was in commercial area when he was allegedly attacked by two armed men,
one with a knife and the other with a gun.
One of the attackers reportedly grabbed at the cop’s chain, resulting in a confrontation.
The policeman drew his weapon and fired on the men, hitting one of them.
The other man with the gun escaped.
Two bystanders were also injured by the gunfire.
The accused robber and the injured bystanders were taken to hospital for medical attention.
